Organisation

The school was founded by Mr. V. Veeraraghavachari, B.A in 1896 as an aid to provide education to the children of Srirangam region. The school found its rapid growth in the hands of noble men Mr. M.C.Rajagopla Naidu, Mr. S.R Sinivasa Iyengar, Mr. S.K.Mathru Bootham, Mr. K.N.Rangaswamy Iyer, Mr. Dharmaiah, Mr. K Parthasarathy Iyengar, Mr. S.V.Srinivasa Iyengar, Mr. N.R.Narasimhan, Mr. A.K.Rangarajan, Mr.Sampath Kumar, Mr. S. Sankara Narayanan, Mr R. Varadarajan and Mr. Ramanujam during their reign as Headmasters.

Present status

Now the school has already crossed its centenary year and has about 2,900 students studying in a satisfactory infrastructure. Mr.R.Chandrasekaran is the current Headmaster who is efficiently assisted by Mr.P.N.Sekar, Mr.M.Vishwanathan and Mr.N.L.Sivakumar as the AHMs. The school is certified as Government aided school. The school contains highly educated staffs and students coming out of the school hold key positions in many big organizations with a large percentage living abroad. [1]
